The other day my Instagram feed was filled with bloggers talking about Plum products And most of them were talking about the Plum Green Tea range. Everyone was claiming it to be a magic potion that will do wonders for oily acne-prone skin to deal with blemishes and acne. It was Plum’s 6th anniversary and some sale was going on, so I went ahead and bought all products in the same range.
I have been using their Green tea Alcohol-free toner for quite some time now and it has shown visible results for me so I was not hesitant while buying and trying their other products. They have face wash, scrub, clay mask, night gel, alcohol-free toner, mattifying moisturizer, face mist, and sunscreen.
Another reason I bought these products is I wanted to check if what they claim is really true and if all the products are worth the hype. Also, I have been suffering from acne for the past month (nothing severe), so this was the best time for me to test the products.
So if you want to know how they worked for my skin, if they improved my skin condition and if they are worth your money, stick with me through this article.
About Plum:
For those of you who are new to this brand let me tell you a few things about it.
Plum is an Indian skincare brand, 100% vegan and cruelty-free. And this is the very reason the brand has my heart. They also claim themselves to be clean beauty meaning they don’t use harsh or toxic ingredients.
Plum is also an environmentally friendly brand. Their products and packaging are toxin-free. And they are giving 1% to the planet.
Plum Green Tea Range:
The key ingredients here are
- Green tea extract – It has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that fight blemishes. It has natural astringent properties that tighten pores. It is an antioxidant that decreases the signs of aging.
- Glycolic Acid – It is an AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid). A chemical exfoliant that weeds out dead skin cells keeping skin refreshed and renewed.
My experience with these products has been great. I have seen visible results in my skin. So let me take you through the detailed review of my most favorite products and you can decide which product/s will work for your skin type and concern.
Plum Green Tea Alcohol-free Toner Review:
If you have oily skin you know how important it is for us to use a toner. Face cleansers dry out our skin and moisturizer make our skin more oily. So toners play an important role in balancing the pH level of skin as well as hydrating the skin.
This one comes with Green Tea extract that works as a natural astringent which tightens your skin, Glycolic acid that rejuvenates the skin, and Glycerine that hydrates and moisturizes the skin. The most loved thing about this toner is it’s alcohol-free so it won’t dry out your skin nor it will irritate your skin.
But I would not suggest this for people with dry or extremely sensitive skin. If you have mildly sensitive skin you can use it at night.
The best way to use this toner is, after cleansing your face take some toner on your palm and pat it on your face and let it air dry, and follow with the moisturizer. Alternatively, you can take some on a cotton pad and swipe it across your face.
I have oily skin and the Plum Green Tea Toner toner has worked great for me. It has visibly reduced my blackheads and the occurrence of blemishes. It has even-toned my skin.

Plum Green Tea Face Wash Review:
Oily skin often gets clogged because of excess oil and sebum secretion. So you need a cleanser that will clean your pores from within without taking away the natural oil from your skin.
The Plum Green Tea Pore cleansing face wash has a gentle and soap-free formula that doesn’t dry out your skin. Also, it has natural cellulose beads that deeply cleanse the clogged pores. Green Tea and Glycolic acid being the key ingredients helps combat acne and gently exfoliates the skin giving you clearer and brighter skin. It controls sebum giving you a fresh appearance.
You can include it in both the morning and evening skincare routine. Don’t forget to moisturize your face after cleansing.
It has done wonders for my skin. My skin feels refreshed every time I use this face wash.

Plum Green Tea Night Gel Review:
Now comes the hero of this range, the Plum Green Tea Renewed Clarity Night Gel is the night moisturizer. It has a gel consistency that doesn’t make your skin oily or greasy. It has Green Tea extracts to help combat acne and Argan oil that provides balanced hydration and helps skin retain moisture. The other ingredients are licorice extract and organic aloe juice. Regular use of the moisturizer also helps to lighten acne scars.
You need to apply just five dots on the face and massage in an upward and outward direction. But remember to apply 30-45 minutes before you hit the bed so moisturizer gets absorbed in the skin. I highly recommend that you use it at night and not in the morning.
But I would not suggest this for people with very dry skin.
Every time I use the Plum Green Tea Renewed Clarity Night Gel I wake up with soft n plump skin. It has also lightened dark spots left behind by pimples.
If there is only one product you want to give a try I highly suggest you try the Plum Green Tea Renewed Clarity Night Gel because it’s worth your salt.

I hope I have helped you make a better choice with your skincare. And now that winter is also here you can include these in your skincare regime to flaunt that glowing skin. Let me know in the comments below what product you are looking forward to buying and they work for you.
Happy Skincare!
